With names like Starlette O'Ara, Loulou de Paris, and Bamby Splish-Splash, you wouldn't expect the Crazy Horse Paris stars to be the embodiment of poise and grace, but the legendary troupe of classically-trained ballerinas are heading to Perth and we are already picking out our furs for the premier performance in September after taking a look at STM's feature on the Cabaret.
On the 30th of last month, the Sunday Times magazine released the most colourful and charismatic edition yet, with Mode & Affaire's very own Peggy Gown in Blush leading the way on the front page. Le Crazy Horse, a Parisian Cabaret, is described by writer Claire Davies as a 'spellbinding, multi-sensory experience', and a couple of select M&A pieces were chosen to feature in the fun and insouciant article, including our ever-popular Ostrich Feather Bolero in Snow, Saville Bomber in Shocking Pink, and, an office favourite, the beautiful ostrich feather Delphine skirt in Blush.
The Cabaret, a world famous performance that started 65 years ago in a small French underground locale (cellar), has come from humble beginnings to being enjoyed globally for their incredible talent and enchanting costumes; of which includes shoes designed by fashion royalty Christian Louboutin, with each dancer receiving six individually designed pairs when they start.
