A Raucous Reception in the Ranges – One Of the Most Divine Wedding Venues In NJ
Nestled amongst the bucolic sprawl of the lush Watchung Mountains in Northern New Jersey, the panoramic views from one of the most spectacular wedding venues in NJ adorned with the expansive manicured grounds are nothing short of breathtaking.

This gorgeous couple exude absolute wedded bliss from the get-go. Fun was most certainly in the (mountain) air for Nicole and Michael who celebrated in fabulous style at one of the most divine wedding venues in NJ, The Stone House Lodge.

Winter Wonderland Wedding for our Nordic Newlyweds
Despite the freezing temperatures, the sun came out creating a cozy ambience and adding an antiquated aesthetic (as well as warming our hearts) for the elegant winter wonderland wedding of our Norwegian lovebirds.
Our beautiful bride Katinka met her handsome beau Knut through mutual friends. Their shared love for travelling culminated one balmy summer evening while on holiday in idyllic Le Sirenuse in Positano, when Knut proposed to his ecstatic soon-to-be wife!
In stark comparison to the temperate surroundings of the Amalfi Coast, the gorgeous couple tied the knot on a magical winter wonderland wedding day in their hometown of Oslo. The ceremony took place at their local church – Old Aker Church – providing a whimsical atmosphere encompassing both the refinement and minimalistic details our Norwegian counterparts are famous for.
The church itself, being the oldest existing building in Oslo embodies romantic tradition, as well as emanating vintage inspired glamour… A notion we timelessly welcome when styling all our beautiful winter wonderland wedding brides.
Fashioning her Malina Bridal gown while adorned in our (aptly named) Snow Aimer Cape, Katinka showcased striking clean lines and a flowing silhouette. The natural light further enrich the picturesque images, adding a touch of warmth by complimenting the subtle hint of soft pink on her lips and enhancing the same shade strewn throughout her bouquet.
There is just something so magical about a love-filled winter wonderland wedding transpiring in the magical wonderland of a northern hemisphere winter.

A New Zealand Elopement Turned Helicopter Wedding

When close friends and family members heard whispers that Sarah and James were planning a helicopter New Zealand elopement in the scenic mountainous region of Queenstown, they simply refused to miss out on all the action hence why this New Zealand elopement turned into a small and intimate helicopter New Zealand wedding in the stunning Matakauri Lodge.
Sarah, an emergency veterinarian, met her future husband when his puppy Storm was in need of an emergency consultation. It was love at first sight. After many adventures together with countless travel and volunteering around the globe, James decided to propose to Sarah days before deploying overseas for work with the army for 6 months at an impromptu sunset picnic down by their local beach.
New Zealand was the first country the couple travelled together to and somewhere close to their hearts, namely the wildness of the New Zealand terrain. So on a perfect winter’s day in New Zealand Sarah and James tied the knot just how they imagined.
Their wedding day started with yoga, before the real adventure began flying up to the top of Mount Creighton for their photo shoot. Sarah hadn't planned on wearing her custom made Mode & Affaire jacket to the ceremony but the cold conditions meant it was the perfect accompaniment to her entire outfit; including hiking boots under her wedding gown to ensure she was prepared for the New Zealand mountainous terrain.

Niseko Wedding - Ryan & Micheal
As their 3rd Wedding Anniversary imminently approaches, we just can’t get over the gorgeous heartfelt Niseko Wedding of Ryan and Michael.
The exuberant couple met 7 years prior to their enthralling Niseko Wedding Nuptials. When Michael asked Ryan what she wanted for their big day, there were 3 essential components – you + me + the snow! So, after originally planning the “Big Traditional Wedding” they decided instead to throw caution to the wind and jet off to Japan. Of course, not before celebrating with a massive belated engagement party!!!
Joined by their parents and Ryan’s brother, there was a total of 10 people present to celebrate their intimate impromptu elopement.
The December 31st Ceremony was held at The Barn, Hirafu – and what a way to bring in the New Year! Continuing to play by their own rules and highlighting their individual flair, the stunning bride wore our eye-catching Shiraz Aimer Cape to seamlessly compliment her ruby red heels!
Following the ceremony, their friends at Bar Gyu were more than happy to open their doors early exclusively for our ecstatic newlyweds. Afterwards, feeling like every bit like a fairy-tale as the snow fell, it was back to The Barn to enjoy a delectable 8-course French degustation.

Garden Wedding with an Industrial Kiss
Having met each other on the dance floor, their young love blossomed and after 15 years, Courtney and Matt have created memories to last a lifetime, with many many more to come.
The proposal was something out of a rom-com. Being on holiday in New York, Matt had organised the perfect proposal; on a boat in the middle of Central Park. As they walked along the gorgeous tree lined path, the weather made a turn for the worse. Leaving Matt to improvise, with an impeding thunderstorm and a girlfriend trying to hurry back to the hotel, he knelt down on one knee over The Bow Bridge asking Courtney to marry him.
Being completely drenched by the rain, the lovebirds went on to plan a wedding that reflected their style and personalities.
Staying true to themselves, Courtney and Matt shared their love story with their dearest family and friends in a ceremony held at the gorgeous Harold Boas Gardens in West Perth, evoking memories of the proposal in Central Park, NYC. Between the Bride and her creative Bridesmaids, the ceremonial area was transformed to into a light and whimsical space to compliment the surrounding lake and gardens.
Located only minutes away, The Old Pickle Factory was the perfect venue for their Reception. An Industrial blank canvas, Courtney used subtle colours and textures to soften the space, creating warmth in its simplicity. The guests arrived to two breathtaking floral chandeliers by Floral Army, abundant groupings of Hydrangea, Phaleanopsis Orchids and the Brides favourite Early Grey Roses. The couple opted for a cocktail style wedding, as they loved how it allowed for a very social and relaxed feel. The guests were treated to canapés inspired by the Couple’s time in New York, and flowing Gin Spritz’s. Courtney and Matt made sure the formalities were over quickly so they could enjoy more time on the dance floor with their love ones.
The morning of the wedding Courtney wore the Peggy Gown in Snow with custom embroidery (Mrs Johnston). To complement her custom gown, Courtney wore the Ostrich Feather Bolero in Snow and her bridesmaids in the Infiniti Scarves in Blush worn as a Bolero.
A Stunning New Zealand Wedding
We love a New Zealand wedding. There's nothing that quite compares to the frost-topped mountains, the crystal blue sky, and the pristine lakes that sparkle and dance on a bright day. Capturing a special moment in time is enhanced one hundred fold by NZ scenery, and Jayde & Steve were lucky enough to get it for the happiest day of their lives.

Jayde & Steve met when he became her housemate 11 years ago, and have since spent many blissful holidays snowboarding and mountain biking through the enchanting New Zealand terrain. It followed, therefore, that they should naturally have their wedding in the place where they were always the most content. Jayde wore a beautiful St. Patrick wedding dress with her Aimer Cape in Blush, exuding a sophisticated elegance and warmth.

An International Jet-setter; A Chicago Wedding
If a first date on a private flight wasn't enough, Pippa & Jake got engaged winging over the pacific on a trip to Japan. They eloped to a Chicago wedding after Jake's new post in the US, and honoured what brought them together by doing a yoga class on the morning of the wedding. Pippa wore an Aimer Fur Cape in Snow for the day, a pristine white fur cape made of the softest fur that moulds to your shape. The protection was sorely needed on a -3 degree spring Chicago wedding day, and Pippa looked all the more gorgeously glamorous for it!

A Romantic Wedding in NYC
There was something of a quiet splendor about the NYC wedding that Mode & Affaire was a part of in February. The celebration was intimate, full of romance, and overlooking the iconic New York skyline where the couple took their first trip together.
The beautiful Leanne came to us in September of 2017 looking for something extra to complete her romantic wedding ensemble in the chilly weather. It was an honour to help her choose her piece and she absolutely glowed in her gorgeous Snow Aimer Cape. The heavens opened the moment the pictures were finished, so the wedding took on a soft and cosy romance vibe in the Brooklyn Winery, with both traditional and modern elements making an appearance.
