A Fur Stole for Amore in Alexandria

A Queenstown Princess in a New Zealand Wedding
A cool breeze, tree branches rustling, the sound of birds ringing out through the forest. Amy and Jason's day was a Queenstown fairy tale come true.
Since she was a little girl, Amy had dreamt of a wedding celebration in New Zealand. She met Jason at a radio show station where they both worked, and eventually, they fell in love and adopted a new member of the family - a rabbit called Lenny. Lenny, not being able to attend the wedding, was with them in spirit, appearing in a picture placed between the bride and groom on the head table. The genuine love and comfort that the two found in each other shone through the photos.
Amy looked radiant in her wedding celebration ensemble, working in the natural highlights of silver, blue, and green that swept the scenery. Amy's Ostrich Feather Bolero floated on her shoulders as an elegant nod to the cooler weather, and her detailed sleeved dress matched the creamy shade of her bridesmaids' Feather Plume Boleros.
New Zealand weddings are always among the most divine, and Amy's beautiful ceremony was no exception.
We hope Amy, Jason and Lenny's future is as radiant as their celebration was.
A Winter Wedding Dream with Bodelle and Gill
The Southern Highlands in late June can be a little cool, but with a touch of Mode & Affaire magic Bodelle and Gill got married at a winter wedding in a dreamy New South Wales setting without having to worry about the chill in the air.
Both Bodelle herself and her bridesmaids displayed divine pieces from the winter wedding collection. Bodelle wore a gorgeous Aimer Cape in Snow, and her bridesmaids styled their Infiniti scarves in Shell to make the most elegant little boleros. These scarves are among our favourite pieces due to their versatility, light weight and heavenly soft texture. Bodelle's mother had noticed this as well, and ended up convincing one of the bridesmaids to hand it over to her to take back to New Zealand!
A beautiful affair for a joyous occasion.

A Whimsical Wedding at Watson's Bay

The Streets of Philadelphia
Kelley and Ryan came from the same home town and were friends for two years before they fell in love. They celebrated their winter wedding day in December with a romantic industrial vibe that epitomised the modern, chic wedding theme that we're definitely feeling this season.
Kelley's magical wedding day went seamlessly, and we loved hearing about the little quirks like the painter who captured the gorgeous couples' first dance together. And of course nothing would have completed the chilly winter's bridal outfit like our luxurious Aimer Cape (which Kelley wears in Shell) that we make from the softest rabbit fur, ethically sourced and more beautifully luxurious than any other bridal accessory. Kelley got many compliments on her fur piece, and described the wedding day to us as 'smooth and perfect'.
From the pictures, we're inclined to agree!

Amber's Winery Wedding Affaire
On the 23rd of September, Amber got married to her partner of 9 years, Hayden, in a charming little winery wedding in Eagle Bay.
She wore a divine Donna Tobin beaded gown under our Aimer Cape in Shell, which oozed subtle glamour and classy sophistication.
Amber’s photos are a reflection of pure luxury and delight. The gorgeous Australian landscape and the winery wedding reflects her natural beauty, and her soft fur cape and richly coloured bouquet were exquisitely chosen accessories for her special day.

A Rustic Fairytale Wedding

Sheree’s special day was planned in the middle of winter, and where the cool temperatures may have intimidated some, the Hack’s fairytale wedding embraced the season in an exquisite and classic style that simply couldn’t have been achieved in warmer weather. Sheree’s Atelier Rose gown was handmade, and at her very last fitting, she spotted our luxurious Plume Feather Jacket on the racks. As soon as she tried it on over her lace-embroidered dress, she knew she had to have it. The jacket, made of the softest marabou feather, is part of our bridal range which lends that extra touch of class and cosy warmth to any wedding outfit. Sheree looked absolutely stunning, and we were honoured to be a part of her divine fairytale wedding.

Wedding Wishes in the Mountains of NZ
A fur jacket quickly became an essential as the beautiful bride, Chelsea, awoke to snow on her icy New Zealand wedding day. Chelsea's wedding wishes were for the Exotique Fur Jacket in Snow, the Exotique Long Fur Jacket in Natural for her mother, and her bridesmaids, styled in the Ruse Fur Collar in Smoke with each of them wearing the Fur Collar in slightly different ways. The bridal party looked stunning in their wedding fur jackets and fur accessories and remained warm throughout the winter wedding day. The photographer beautifully captured the magic throughout Chelsea's New Zealand wedding day.
M&A's Sublime Sydney Wedding
A 16-degree June winter’s day would not be the conventional choice to make when it comes to wedding dates. Nicole & Marc, however, carried it off with the level of grace we all aspire to achieve, and the shining smiles emanating from the Sydney wedding photos had us all dreaming of better things on this early Tuesday morning.
Nicole’s Carla Zampatti wedding dress was meant for the summer bride, but that didn’t stop her. The Classique Fur Jacket in Snow, which is a favourite among our newlyweds, was super ‘cosy warm’ and looked stunning over her elegant dress. The handsome couple, photographed by Lina Hayes, posed in front of Sydney’s urban and beach backgrounds with linked hands and happy faces.
Whatever the temperature, this winter Sydney wedding is certainly lighting our fire! We hope Nicole & Marc’s future is as warm as their wedding day.

The Custom Bride
On a gorgeous spring day in the Granite Belt Region of Ballendean, QLD, Aimee and Dane were married.
The ceremony was held at the family vineyard - a wedding photographer's dream with its lush greenery, tall trees and shimmering lakes.
Aimee, the stunning bride, came to us requesting a special custom wedding order for a luxury stole, with the belief that it would compliment her beautiful bridal gown by Oglia Loro.
Together, we created the stunning Marvelle Mongolian Stole in Snow. As featured in our Winter Ready To Wear Fur Collection in Smoke Grey, Aimee had requested the Fur Stole be hand dyed in Snow to suit her wedding gown.
As for the result, the below photos taken by Rachel Marsden Photography speak a thousand words - Aimee looks utterly glamorous wearing her custom wedding Marvelle Stole in Snow.
A Cape for the South Island Engagement
We were so delighted to hear from the beautiful Kimberley so soon after her wedding day in January, where she married the man of her dreams, Simon, in a scenic south island in New Zealand called Arrowtown.
Kim came to us late last year in her engagement, looking for something to wear with her bridal gown to keep her warm in the likely event that it could be a more cool wedding.
This was just days after we had delivered a new, soft, shell coloured Aimer Fur Cape to our showroom.
Just like Kim and Simon, it was absolutely meant to be. We count ourselves very lucky to play a role in the beautiful day, and that Kim will always be the very first M&A Bride to wear the Aimer Fur Cape in Shell.
Kim's kind words in her message reminded us yet again, why we love what we do, and what we will always endeavour to do in the pieces we create for the ultimate cool wedding.
"Even though I wore the Aimer cape on my wedding day, I cannot wait for winter so that I can find an excuse to wear it again!"
